Bag from Tank top (No sew,No cut) in 2 mins !!

I often look at my tank tops and wonder if I could make a bag out of it. I have them in different colors and patterns that I think would make a lovely bag. But I always fear I would damage the top and make it no longer wearable.

One afternoon, I finally made the bag and guess what, it involves no cutting of fabric or sewing. And the good news is, you can use them as both bag and top.

Here is a quick little tutorial on how to transform your tank tops to fun bag in less than 2 mins.

So Gurlies , are you ready ??
All you need is -

 - Grab your favorite tank tops or any dress without sleeves. The longer the top - bigger the bag!
 - Hair ties / Rubber bands

Here is how you do it -

1. Grab a top from your favorites
2. Turn it inside out
3. Measure how deep you want your bag and tie the ends with a rubber band / Hair tie.

4. Turn it right side out.Hold the straps of your bag as the handle and yay, your bag is ready !! You can use longer top or adjust the rubber band to get the bag of your size.

Most of the times, when we go out , we would need only our clutch/wallet, mobile phone, comb and perfume and this bag best serves the purpose ! Give it a try and we will be happy if you could share the pictures of your bag to akaleidoscopicdream@gmail.com.

Check how to use your top as a skirt here !!

  1. This is pretty smart! We have a green bag policy in our area. This is perfect if you forget one and happen to have a shirt on hand. I can even see sewing one up with the same premise if you are a sewer. Thanks for sharing at the party. I'll be sure to give this a shout out! Theresa @DearCreatives

  8. This is a FANTASTIC idea ! I LOVE it ! I know you don't have to sew to make a bag like this, but when I make one, I will be sewing it. I might even use 2 tank tops. Then you'll have 2 bags in one ! I know that you can use t'shirts to make similar bags also. Thanks for sharing this with us !
