Nutella Chocolate Truffles

Hey Chocoholics out there! I have something special for you! Guess what?

Nutella, Chocolate, Cream and Butter
Can a truffle get any better?

I don't think so ! Can you?

This is by far my favorite truffles ever and am sure you will love them too !

With no further ado, let me get to the recipe!

This recipe is adapted from the famous and charming  YouTuber - Laura Vitale!

Ingredients:
Nutella - 1/2 cup
Chocolate Chip - 1 cup
Heavy Cream - 1/2 cup
Unsalted Butter - 2 tbs

Toppings of your choice (optional) - mixed nuts, colored sugar, sprinkles, sweetened coconut

Method:

1. Add butter and cream to a saucepan. Heat it just enough to let the cream simmer but not boil (approx 2 minutes)

2. Place the chocolate chips in a bowl.

3. Transfer the heated butter and cream mixture to chocolate chips

4. Keep the mixture aside for a minute or two.

5. The hot butter-cream mixture would have melted the chocolate chips.Whisk the
mixture until smooth.

6. Add Nutella and stir gently.

7. Transfer the mixture to a greased dish.

8. Now comes the toughest part - Get over your temptation to have them all just like that ( I lost and had couple spoons :( ) and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

After 2 long hours of the tough battle -

9. Make truffles of your desired size. You can use two teaspoons or small sized ice cream scoops to do the job for you.

10. Dip them in toppings of your choice ( if using) and refrigerate again for another couple of hours for the truffles to set.

Tips :

It is easier and lot less messier to make truffle balls when refrigerated. So make sure you work on batches while keeping the rest of the mixture refrigerated. It may start melting at room temperature making it messier to work on. But messy or not, if you are anything like me, you would definitely not mind anything for CHOCOLATE!
